Nick,
You have done some really amazing photography work!
I am writing to you, however, in hopes that you can forward my note to your daughter Suzi who was a volunteer on Kuttu about a decade ago. I did Ph.D. dissertation research on Kuttu in Micronesia from 1978-80. Prior to that, I was a PCV at Chuuk High School from 1969-72. Along with Andrew Myers, who was a PCV with his wife Carol on Kuttu in 1967-68, I have established a photo archive of images of people on the island that currently stretches from 1938-1980. The current archive is available for viewing to anyone at kuttumicronesia.smugmug.com. Thus far, about 250 people associated with Kuttu have viewed the site from more than 10 US states as well as Guam and the FSM.
In the coming months, another former PCV on Kuttu (1990-92), Charmain Harkins, will add her photos to the site. We would be thrilled if Suzi would also be interested in sharing her photos of Kuttu on SmugMug. It seems that putting them all in one place is the easiest way to share them with the increasingly dispersed community of people from Kuttu. I could give Suzi “owner access” to the site so that she could present the photos in any way she would like.
Could I impose on your to pass on my contact information to Suzi in case she would like to join our photo archive project?
Thanks and Best Regards,
