Nice picture. The Death Valley National Park is a national park located east of the Sierra Nevada in the arid Great Basin of the US.

The park is a renowned tourist attraction despite the fact that it is one of the most inhospitable regions in the world. Its geological features, the desert wildlife, clear night skies and historic sites are prime draws of tourism.

AGree with the above. You sure get around, Nick. Are your latest postings from recent trips or archived images? Love them nonetheless. Just curious.

Really great. The one lone person on the huge dune really adds a lot to this image. First a human element and a bit of a focal point, but also a massive sense of scale. Cool Shot.

That\'s really interesting, I\'ve not seen huge dunes backed with mountains like this before. I really like the line of shadow on the sand.

I really like that person for a sense of scale. I\'d be a bit mad that they messed up my perfect dune like that but that\'s just me being selfish.

  27. geckonia March 8, 2007 at 1:59 am #

That\'s a great shot, Nick. One of your best I think! I like the bright sky on the right and the mountain in shadows. They balance out the dune on the left perfectly.
